I've always been interested in logos since I was young. I used to pick my favorite sports team just based on their logo.

I took it upon myself to start practicing with logo designs and brand design. I first gave myself the task of designing and animating my own personal logo, as well as my friend's possible logo.

My Logo

I wanted to capture the creativity within this logo. I am a very creative person so I settled on using these classic Red, Yellow, and Blue colors because they are the bases of lots of other colors. I then did some practice drawings on my tablet to get a rough outline of what I wanted the logo to look like. I settled on a "lavalamp" style. I used Photoshop to animate a rough frame-by-frame and Illustrator to create the logo vectors then took it into After Effects. There I added some movement keyframes, smoothed out the animation and added some sound effects.

Later on down the line, I decided to redesign my logo to make it more professional and clean. I also changed my Brand name around too. I have not had the chance to animate this logo yet but I have done a more fleshed out brand design that I like. Check it out below!

Client Logo

Next up was my friends logo, he is really into skiing and works as a paramedic at a ski resort. I wanted to incorporate that into the logo. He also said he likes crests and how they are assembled so I took influence from them too. This was a very similar process to creating my own logo just with a bit more back-and-fourth between the client and I. I think this one turned out great especially once I added the sound.
